Dr. Marc Strous

Marc Strous joined U. Calgary in Sept. 2013 as a Campus Alberta Innovation Chair in Energy Bioengineering after being a Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology and Professorships at the U. Bielefeld (Germany) and Radboud Univ. (Netherlands). He combines environmental engineering with microbial ecology and currently mainly focuses on developing a cost-effective bioenergy process that can be combined with atmospheric carbon capture and carbon capture and storage.
